Tehreek-e-Lubaik protests: National Assembly passes resolution to discuss French ambassador’s deportation

Following ‘successful negotiations’ between the Pakistani government and the banned Tehreek-e-Libya Pakistan, a resolution has been passed in the National Assembly calling for a debate on the deportation of the French ambassador.

In this regard, a meeting of the National Assembly was held on Tuesday evening.

PML-N has demanded that the government issue a policy statement on the issue and the resolution should be tabled by consensus.

Apart from government members, PML-N and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islami have also attended the meeting, but the main opposition party, the PPP, did not attend and party chief Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said it was Prime Minister Imran Khan has his own filth that he has to clean up.
